Hempfield Cops & Rodders

Landisville, PA – Earlier this spring we were contacted by Jason who puts on the annual Cops & Rodders car show in Lancaster County. He had learned about us from a good friend from our earlier “OG” car community days… Thanks Sajy! In its 5th year, Jason wanted to step things up and set the standard for other local events. So naturally he wanted to get his event on board with our eJudged iOS app. The Cops & Rodders event benefits the Power Packs Project, an organization that provides long-term solutions to end childhood hunger. Since the event was only a short drive for us, Jason invited us to come hang out for the day -and we decided to show our support in person, which gave the judges an opportunity to take advantage of our Ford Transit Connect Mobile Command Center and HotSpot on wheels. We’ve gotta say we’re glad we took the time to come and be a part of the fun! A couple hundred cool cars turned up, despite a little rain in the morning, the food was good, and the company was good as well – as there were plenty of area Police officers in attendance with their cars on display as well. Neat concept for a show, and we can’t wait to return again next year!

The Panda Junction

Aberdeen, MD – This past Sunday we took a nice little Sunday cruise down to Cal Ripken’s Stadium, where Tuner Evolution and Los Goonies hosted The Panda Junction. We attended last year’s meet, and we were overwhelmed with the growth of this event in just it’s 2nd year of existence. There were a lot of cars in attendance. And to be honest, there were a lot of outstanding cars in attendance. We were thankful that Jay had asked us to bring our Transit Connect Mobile Command Center down for the event, and it gave us another opportunity to toss together a little voting competition.

At the end of the day, it was Quan Smalls that was the top vote getter and took home bragging rights of the “Interstate Sensation” competition. But much like the week prior at Fresh Meet, we really enjoy seeing dedicated enthusiasts be rewarded by their peers. Congrats to Quan and his crew for getting out there week after week.

GTACC 8th Annual Car Show

Georgetown, TX – We were excited when the Georgetown Area Car Club reached out to us about using our app at their show in Texas. We can’t wait to see our app in use all over the country, and more. The event was a car show and charity benefit, and it seems to us that the turn out was huge. They had a little bit of everything – from antique to modern on display and in competition… but some of the street rods and cool old school builds certainly stole the show. We are looking forward to working with this event again.

Fresh Meet Events: Spring Bash

Woodstown, NJ – Fresh Meet Events continue to impress with huge turnouts at their events. We just returned from their annual Spring Bash meet, and it was packed, as usual. We love to attend this event and show support for the Fresh Meet Fam because they’re good guys with a vision – and they create a fun environment at all of their events.

This year, we were honored to be asked to put together our own little display area. We reached out to our partners-in-crime at LowLifeStyle.com and SqueakyClean and took over an entire hangar. It also seemed like a great time to release a new aspect to eJudged. We generally don’t attend a ton of meets because we’re so busy travelling and maintaining judged competition style car shows. But we love the relaxed, good time atmosphere of the meet style events. Turns out great minds think alike as we quickly collaborated with Rey and Mike from Fresh Meet to come up with the Freshest Of The Fresh award. 25 of the top cars from the event were chosen – and then anyone who attended the event could swing by our booth and cast their iPad vote for their favorite vehicle.

VA Hot Rod & Custom Car Show

Hampton, VA – Spring has finally sprung and we shifted straight into high gear, kicking off our 2015 “Powered by eJudged” schedule with a roadtrip to Virginia for some Southern hospitality and the VA Hot Rod & Custom Car Show. The event is also the first stop of Live-Wire-Media’s event series. Brad from Live Wire is an old friend, but new partner of ours. We couldn’t be more excited to combine forces.

The Hampton Roads Convention Center was filled with high quality hot rod builds, restored and preserved rare classics, and a ton of horsepower. At the end of a great weekend, meeting lots of great folks and seeing some amazing vehicles, well over 100 people went home with some pretty sweet awards. We’re proud to say that we got to be a part of it!

2015 Pennsylvania Auto Show

Harrisburg, PA – Here at eJudged, the pace is steady and new things are always on the horizon. We kicked off 2015 in our hometown, as we were asked to produce a special display for the Pennsylvania Auto Show. We were able to use our network to bring in some of the scene’s heaviest hitters. The display, dubbed the eJudged Alliance Showcase, featured the top vehicles from the top events within the PA/Mid-Atlantic region. The idea was to showcase our product, show love to current and future event partners, and perhaps most importantly educate local spectators of exciting events that they could attend in the upcoming year.

DSC_0821

With 11 unique, top-notch builds on display, we were able to showcase regional events such as: Tuner Evolution, Carlisle Performance & Style, Carlisle GM Nationals, Carlisle All-Truck Nationals, H2O International, VagFair, Knoedown, OC Car Show & Live-Wire-Media events, PSU Car Club’s THON charity event, and Schuykill Summerfest. In addition, we had signage and videos streaming all weekend long showing action from these events – and most of the other events nationwide and internationally that we partner with. Our showcase boasted the Best Of Show vehicle(s) from six of the eleven events – and the other vehicles were hand-picked by the event promoters/owners to represent them. It was a great opportunity for us to interact with the competitors as well as the general public – and let them know what’s in store for 2015.

SEMA 2014 – The Mothers Shine Award

Las Vegas, NV – Well, it’s been a year since we officially released our eJudged iOS app to the public. We’ve been extremely busy since SEMA 2013. But we were extremely thankful to continue our relationship with the great people at Mothers Polish. Their Mothers Shine Award is quite simply one of the most prestigious awards that can be won during SEMA week. Scratch that, it’s one of the most prestigious awards that can be won all year long in the automotive industry. Since our application launched last year, we’ve been taking note of feedback that we’ve received from events all over the world – and we were quite happy to launch our v2.0 update just in time for SEMA 2014.

10802481_712705678815125_1888576385_n

We made the trip to Las Vegas to provide support for the Mothers judging staff and to further spread the word of eJudged to the people of SEMA. We’re happy to say that the Shine Award went off without a hitch – and was awarded to a flawless 1932 Ford Sedan owned by Don Smith. There were 10 other Mothers Choice award winners also crowned. That’s only ten cars out of over three million square feet of space within the convention center that received the honors. It doesn’t get much more elite than that. We were truly excited to be a small part of the action and it was another learning experience for us to see the quality of craftsmanship and fabrication that goes into these vehicles. We can’t wait to see the 2015 Mothers Shine Award Winner!

PSU Car Club Show Benefitting THON

State College, PA – This past weekend we made the short road trip to Happy Valley – AKA the campus of Penn State University for a very cool event. No, we weren’t there to tailgate, but the event did take place in the parking lots around Beaver Stadium. We were there to show support and spread the WiFi signal for the PSU Car Club event, who had reached out to us to use our iOS digital judging app to score the cars for their show. The event was held to benefit the THON charity. So we were more than happy to donate the usage of our software for the cause. For those that don’t know about THON – “The mission of the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon is to conquer pediatric cancer by providing outstanding emotional and financial support to the children, families, researchers, and staff of the Four Diamonds Fund”. We had our Ford Transit Connect “Mobile Command Station” on display, front and center near the registration and DJ. For a first time event planned by a group of busy college students, we were quite impressed. Not only were there a great variety of vehicles in competition, but the staff was well prepared and were instant eJudged app experts. Most events that we attend rely on us for training and support, but the PSU Car Club was on top of things. We were able to kick it with fellow car enthusiasts and enjoy a walk thru campus to the Berkey Creamery for our favorite milkshakes during the show. So other events, take notes!  We would like to thank the organization for asking us to be a part of their event, and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for their 2015 event!

H2O International 2014

Ocean City, MD – Each September, VW/Audi enthusiasts travel to the beach for a weekend like no other. H2O International has been going on for 17 years now and has sort of become the official end of summer gathering for the community. In it’s nearly two decades it has grown from a fun, laid back event strictly for VAG enthusiasts, into three days of peace, love, camber and burnouts all across town. The movement has become such a “can’t miss” event that all sorts of automotive enthusiasts are now coming in swarms to Ocean City just to be on the fringes of being involved in such a cool event. From Friday until Sunday there are countless meets and GTG’s planned all throughout Ocean City and the surrounding areas. These meets include just about every facet of the “scene” – from MK1 VW meets – to “outcast” meets for non-VAG cars that can’t enter the showfield – to meets for car enthusiasts to go for a bike ride together up Coastal Highway. Along with any event that grows to this sort of capacity, the town was forced to send out extra police force to keep people in line – and of course to pull over scene kids that rock excessive camber. Meanwhile, 20 minutes out of town, the actual car show has grown to be bigger and better each and every year. This year we entered nearly 700 cars into our eJudged iOS app software to be judged.

IMG_2147

We had a great time and were extremely grateful to be asked to be a part of the event once again – after joining forces with the event staff last year. Saturday is more of a meet & greet day – formally known as the Big Ass BBQ. We did a WiFi site survey of the showfield areas in the morning. As we were wrapping that up and confirming coverage throughout the venue, we were flagged down by one of our friends at Rotiform Wheels. It was a huge honor to be asked to park in their mega booth, featuring AirLift Performance, Rotiform Wheels, and DubKorps clothing company – three brands that we respect and support. Our Ford Transit Connect Wagon was supposed to be more of an outcast for this Euro inspired car show, but we’ve learned this year that it fits right in and the people of the euro community love it! Each and every red light that we stopped at over the course of the weekend, the enthusiast in the next lane would strike up a conversation with us about how cool and unique our Ford Wagon is.

2014-09-28 14.28.15-1

Sunday at H2Oi is “gameday”. That is to say that it’s the day of the actual car show. While a good deal of the competitors were still hungover from the previous night’s festivities, we decided to head over to the venue and grab a good spot next to the pavilion that we would be calling our home base for the day. We hosted the judges meeting and then our Mobile Command Station blasted a WiFi signal for the judges to score the cars on their devices. By mid-day the campground was filled end to end with hundreds of VW’s, Audi’s, a few BMW’s, and of course just the one Ford Van. We always see a ton of amazing and unique vehicles at this event – as people travel from all over the States, Canada, and even overseas to be a part of this show. The highlight of the show is always the Top Dawg competition. The Top Dawg process is secret, but if you are chosen to compete it is a huge honor and you get a special place to park as the main attractions of the event. These extensive builds always incorporate precision craftsmanship and attention-to-detail that is not found at most other events. Job well done to all of those builders!

KnoeDown2

Elysburg, PA – We’ve been saving the date for the first weekend in September for quite some time now, as we knew that some good friends of ours were putting on a unique event that was sure to be a fun filled day. KnoeDown did not disappoint. The event is held at Knoebels Amusement Park in the mountains of PA. It’s a hybrid of a meet and a show – as people from all over the region cruised in packs to the middle of nowhere, to enjoy a family friendly day riding coasters and other rides. But then the day was ended off with an awards ceremony. The awards were not to be taken super seriously, but we were more than happy to have them using our iOS app to come up with their final choices. We also got a chance to test out The Crowd’s Choice Award – which is something we may begin to offer to meets and smaller shows where the competition aspect is not the main focus.

DSC_0756

We had our Ford Transit Connect Mobile Command Center in full effect for the event as well. Kicking off the morning at the registration area, where lines of cars rolled in – and checked in – to get their spot on the showfield. After registration closed, we were able to secure a great booth spot to post up right next to the event’s co-hosts – JunkStyles x LowLifeStyle and CounterKultur. Our Ford Transit was in good company, as the main pavilion area was where all of the elite cars were highlighted- as well as where the catered cookout lunch was served to participants. Hey, we told you this event was unique! Food, rides, family, and fitment… It was a breath of fresh air to see someone putting together a different sort of event from the indoor elitist standard that we’ve come to know lately.
