Oaks, PA – We’ve known the guys behind the Tuner Evolution events for years – since they got started to be specific. In recent years, the Tuner Evolution shows have filled a void that has been missing in the car scene. That’s why we make such a great combo, because the emergence of our app has also begun to help fill that void. With so many car meets happening and internet/social media fame becoming such a high priority, our scene had started to lose that sense of friendly competition. It seems that Instagram likes have replaced actual feedback and the stance movement has replaced actual real builds. But Jay Martinez and the rest of the Tuner Evolution crew work around the clock, year round to promote that real deal old school automotive lifestyle… and congrats to them on throwing yet another great event this past weekend in the suburbs of Philly.

We were pretty stoked to be given such a great placement for our Mobile Command Center activation, as we were able to post up right next to the stage. This allowed us to spread our WiFi coverage throughout all three halls of the venue – and it’s ensured that we’d have a few people swing by the booth to hang out during the bikini contest at the end of the night.

This event featured a strict approval process, as vehicle owners and potential competitors had to apply in advance to see if their car even had what it takes to be included on the show floor. This process resulted in 400+ of the east coast – and midwest’s Best of the Best turning up in full force. Several cars were debuted at the show, and several OG’s from the scene made the journey to the venue to get in on the action. When you step the game up to that level, you need the right judges. Tuner Evolution did not drop the ball there as they recruited an all-star cast of car scene experts from all across the nation to do the judging process. The guys at this event are a fine example of what the eJudged app was built for. Yes, we can streamline just about any event at any level of competition… but a big event like this where the competition is tight really does need to ensure they’ve got all their bases covered and that the final results are accurate.

At the end of a long night it was Rick Fontan who took home Best of Show honors. This car had vanished from the scene for the past few summers and now we’ve finally gotten a chance to see what he was up to – bringing the build up to current standards and surprising some of the big dogs by stealing the show. But his car wasn’t the only thing that impressed us – as we’ve already commented on the number of debuts and high profile vehicles that graced the expo center with their presence. Here are some of our favorite builds and booths from Tuner Evolution 2015. We can’t wait to see what the builders, and the staff behind the scenes at TE have in store for the future.
